How to deal with your boss?

i get a call from the owner (which seldom happened) and asked about something. Sometimes you can't help it but try to explain and talk a bit.Then he will just cut you off and tell you that you talk to much. He does this all the time and this is kind of insulting. Or should I feel bad and just let it go...
