hi i bought a civic from a friend. its a 1994 lx with a d15. it ped smog a few months ago but failed today. badly. compression is good, sparkplugs and air filter is new. no vacuum leaks as the idle is a little high 930 rpm. faild for high nox 881ppm and high HC p was 48 i got a 67. 243000k miles with a new headgasket and timing belt and machined block and head. not burning oil and cat is flowing fine. is it possible the cat is fouled or the sensors are bad? any thoughts?

Jeez, this isn't an easy one. Carbon monoxide isn't detectable by the olfactory nerves (your sense of smell). Is there a 24-hour Walgreens/Walmart/something in your area? You can usually get a cheap CO detector, and if the place is close enough to home, it wouldn't take too long to fetch one. It's either that or stay up and constantly check everyone throughout the night.

I really didn't see the point in bothering with one but my husband insisted we get one and I'm beyond happy that we did :) Like the other post, I have yet to smell anything bad at all and my daughters poopy diapers are quite awful. lol today I could smell it from across the room when she had pooped, but once the diaper was in the genie, I wasn't able to smell it anymore. Problems with my 16 year old son's probation officer?

Sounds like you have your hands full. In relation to your older son I guess you can steer him in the right direction but at 16 if he wants to screw up his life there really isn't alot you can do about it. In terms of the Probation Officer there is probably alot you can do. All government officials are guided by very strict code of conduct. There will also be a very well defined chain of command at his workplace and finding his supervisor shouldn't really be too hard. I think a word in the ear of his supervisor probably wouldn't hurt - I doubt the PO is going to do you any favours so what do you have to lose by saying something to his boss. You'll find that if he really is that much of a pain the people he works with (inlcuding his boss) probably know exactly what he is like. I think you have grounds to indicate that his behaviour is both aggressive and inappropriate. Hopefully they ign you someone else and your son cleans up his act!

My infant has been vomiting in the morning...?

She is 9 months..about a month ago she starting vomiting, copious amounts during the middle of the night. She vomited a day later, early in the morning. About a week ago, the vomiting became almost daily. She projectile vomits...it has been a yellowish to a milky color...She typically nurses about 10-20 minutes before these episodes. I have omitted all milk proteins, eggs and soy from my diet, as she was recently found to be allergic. She had an abdominal xray, and it was negative for a foreign object obstruction. She is having a barium study on Wednesday, to rule out a malrotation...but she doesn't appear to be in much pain...at all...What else could it be? Has anyone had a similar experience?

6 week old very congested, especially at night. any ideas?

it's been a week since my now 6 week old has had problems with congestion. his nose is so stuffy and it's really bad at night. i had him to the doctor monday and he suggested the usual...humidifier, nasal bulb, saline drops. i've been using all of that stuff but it only provides very temporary relief at best. at night i keep him in an inclined position to help drain stuff from his head but even this doesn't seem to help. does anyone have any other tips i could try?

I think I have PTSS and I don't know what to do to help my situation?

I have PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, I was diagnosed when I was 13, it was after the ual Abuse I had gone Threw for 2 years. I had horrible nightmares, flashback, couldn't be looked at by men, I would run out of cl if I have a male sub or teacher, I couldn't stand to be hugged by anyone, even friends and my own parents. I slept in full clothes and shoes, I couldn't look at my body, wasn't comfortable at all. To be diagnosed, you would need to see a Therapist or Psychiatrist, but there is not any medication for PTSD, there are for Anxiety and they tend to help a bit. To deal with Trauma, you would need to meet with a Therapist and talk about what has happened in your life. For me it was hard to tell people about the s, molestation and physical abuse, but I opened up and now I can talk about it and write about it. Still have nightmares from time to time, but I'm on medication for my insomnia as well, and I tend not to dream often. Good Luck, I know its hard, But taking the chance to open up with a therapist is the best thing. I went through 3 Therapist, I had to find one I was comfortable with. Hope all goes well =)

There's some testing and paperwork that has to be done but it can be done before traveling. I'm not sure on the details, but I do know that to be considered a service dog in the UK, the dog has to be ADI certified. We were VERY wary of interfering in Libya after the fiasco of Iraq, so I doubt that the government would like to be seen interfeering in two unstable countries at the same time. Libya was also a different situation from Syria, as there have been tensions between Gadaffhi and other countries for years. For example, there was a lot of controversy about Gadaffhi's help in the Lockerby bombings, and he's always been seen as a threat to the American government. While driving from San Francisco down to Los Angelas I got a speeding ticket from a highway patrol man driving the opposite way on the freeway. This was in the Fresno area and when he turned around he said he caught me doing 87 in a 70 by visual radar. I asked to see the radar gun but he said that was unavailable. It will p as he gets older. but i recommend that if you need to go to the bathroom or get something to eat, don't carry him on your hip every where. just put him down in a safe place, and go use the bathroom quick, go make some food for yourself quick. you don't always need to take baby every where just cuz he refuses to stop crying. of course don't let him cry for long periods. but setting him down for 5 minutes while you use the bathroom isn't going to hurt. this stage will p, just give it time.
