Should the 1950’s be remembered as these?

You are correct in suggesting that it was a good period. Moral values have dived since that day. That was before the days of drug heads, who are doing what they can to mess up society. When we left the farm house, we simply turned a bent nail to close the door. Now-a-days we need dead bolt locks. We had no T.V. or electricity, so I can't agree that it was all good, but it was still better then now.
